Okeechobee Main Street welcomes guests and visitors to the 52nd Annual Speckled Perch Festival and Parade, scheduled for Saturday, March 11 and Sunday, March 12, 2017 in Flagler Parks. This festival is in collaboration with the Cow Town PRCA rodeo beginning at 2:00 PM both days. Rodeo fans get ready to watch the roughest-and-toughest professional bull riders and bullfighters at Okeechobee's Cow Town Rodeo held on March 11-12, 2017. The rodeo will be taking place fifty-miles west of Palm Beach County, in the city of Okeechobee, one of Florida’s premiere agriculture communities. The Speckled Perch Festival is the oldest celebration in Okeechobee, dating back to 1965. At that time the festival honored the fishing industry with a parade and fish fry in the park during the height of the tourist season and the tradition continues today. There will be local talent, food, arts and crafts and fun. Our Speckled Perch Parade on Saturday at 10:00 am sets the stage for the remainder of the weekend. There is a $10.00 parade permit fee for this parade. This festival has no admission; just fun!
