Dana Vines

About Dana Vines

Dana Vine’s entire life revolves around family and being creative.   She is a Florida born, Florida raised artist whose work not only encompasses natural scenery and the Florida vibe of life, but also expands to the dreams and ideas of people who ask her to create for them.

People that meet her find an instant friend; someone that is down to earth and genuine to the soul.  Like most great artists, Dana is self-taught and is always meeting new artists in our area to exchange new ideas on how to create and inspire.  Her ability to take risks and break norms with her craft continues the tradition of artists who dare to take chances.

As a child, Dana explored the United States with her family with cross county trips, learning new art styles and expanding her understanding of landscapes and the human form.  Today, her main passions are hybrid mixed media abstract types of oil and acrylic painting, but Dana’s future goals are to learn how to weld and create metal art.

Dana’s creativity ranges from having her artwork shown in Ft. Pierce’s Backus Gallery to creating murals for an autistic boy’s bedroom in Okeechobee.  She has inspired and taught DJJ student’s art classes whom many have won awards in the Top of the Lake Art Fest contests. She is also one of the feature artists of the Hamrick Butterfly Sculpture project in downtown Okeechobee Flagler Park.

To know Dana, you would know she would rather spend her time helping animals or a friend than anything else.  Because of this, her heart and passion can be seen in all her of artwork, which draws people her creations.

Dana is loved and adored by her husband of 18 years and the loves of her life, Rece and Beautiful.  To Dana, laughing and embracing with people around her is everything she needs to show love and commitment to the world of art.

To reach Dana Vines and/or to purchase her work, you can find her on her Facebook page or by visiting The Hope Chest located at 513 SW Park Street in downtown Okeechobee, Florida.
