La Florida: 500 Years in the Place of Flowers

A stunning photography exhibit inspired by Florida’s diverse and beautiful wildflowers is now touring the state. The exhibit - featuring 15 of John Moran’s beautiful large-format photos - will be on the road through 2014.  This exhibit is a part of the Viva Florida! 500 years of La Florida.   Stops include Orlando, Lake Wales, Naples, Gainesville, Okeechobee and more. 

Funding for the display was provided by the Florida Wildflower Foundation and the State Wildflower license plate as part of the Florida Department of State’s 2013 Viva Florida 500 commemoration program.
This once in a lifetime event will be held at the Historic County Courthouse at 304 NW 2nd St.  Okeechobee.  The exhibit ran January 2, 2014 - February 14, 2014 Monday - Friday 9 - 5.
